At Gemidan, we offer crushing and shredding services for materials of all sizes, and we operate throughout Scandinavia.
We continuously optimize our fleet with the latest available technology, allowing us to process the majority of materials in virtually any size.
Our fleet includes various types of machinery, enabling us to tailor solutions based on the specific characteristics of the materials.
Examples of materials that can be crushed and shredded by Gemidan:

Experts in Sorting
With years of experience in sorting and ongoing investments in modern equipment, we are able to provide highly qualified advice and, of course, always deliver a final product of the highest quality.
In our work with sorting various materials, we utilize two types of sorting systems:
- Trommel Sorting Systems
- Star Screen Systems
For both types of sorting systems, Gemidan has chosen to equip the facilities with a wind sifter, which can remove plastic particles from biomass, as well as a stone separation system, which removes stones from the end products.
These additional features help ensure the highest quality of the final products.
We sort in all sizes, but primarily in sizes based on the customer’s needs and preferences, with the optimal disposal channel in mind—if there are multiple alternatives.

Packaging Across Most of Europe
Gemidan offers packaging in materials ranging from combustible waste to recyclable materials, as well as animal feed (e.g., corn silage and beet pulp) in round bales.
We have been packaging across most of Europe since 1996. Our team’s experience ensures competent handling throughout the entire process.
Today, the majority of combustible waste in industrialized countries is sent for incineration. Baling is therefore an effective and environmentally friendly solution for intermediate storage—especially during periods when incineration capacity is low, such as during operational shutdowns or seasonal fluctuations, where waste volumes are balanced throughout the year to achieve better energy utilization.
Round Bales
Gemidan operates round balers, which allow us to handle both large and small-scale tasks.
The mobility of our packaging machines enables us to offer highly flexible solutions, as we can coordinate with multiple facilities at the same time, depending on the nature of the task.
Each project is tailored to individual needs, and we are happy to assist with advice on everything from space planning to handling the bales, as well as any other questions that may arise.
